Experts in the fields of agriculture and cooperatives praised the recent announcement made by the Indian government that respected luminaries Chaudhary Charan Singh, Dr. MS Swaminathan, and PV Narasimha Rao will receive the country's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna. The decision to honour Chaudhary Charan Singh and Dr. MS Swaminathan with the Bharat Ratna has been particularly lauded by experts.

Mr. Mohan Kumar Mishra, Secretary of the National Council of Cooperative Training (NCCT), highlighted Dr. Swaminathan's pivotal role in the establishment of the NCCT, emphasizing its importance in fostering excellence in cooperative management and leadership.
