In 2023, the festivities will be observed with great pomp and enthusiasm from September 19 to September 28. During Ganesh Chaturthi, clay idols of Lord Ganesha are installed both in private homes and elaborate pandals (temporary structures) and worshipped daily for ten days. Devotees engage in prayers and fasting while preparing daily prasad, including delicacies such as modaka, believed to be Lord Ganesha's favourite sweet. The festival culminates on the tenth day with a grand procession through the streets, where the idol is immersed in nearby waterways.
