In the run-up to COP26, governments throughout the world are committing to new targets for reaching net zero by 2050 or earlier. The Paris Agreement's entry into force laid the groundwork for commitments by global leaders, governments, policymakers, industries, and other global groups to mitigate the effects of climate change.
There is an urgent need to modify the current system of producing and consuming energy in all sectors of our economies, while also ensuring competitiveness, economic growth, and jobs. This includes strategic action, increased investment in climate-friendly technologies, energy and resource efficiency, and circularity.
In order to help businesses achieve Net Zero Climate targets, CII - Centre of Excellence for Competitiveness has launched a number of projects, one of which is CII DETECH, which will take place on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The summit, which coincides with the 25th edition of the CII International Engineering & Technology Fair, would be an excellent opportunity to learn about technology, and best practices, and meet and work with a wide range of stakeholders.
