The skin is the largest organ of the body and its main function is protecting our internal organs from external factors such as bacteria, chemicals, and temperature. Having a good skincare routine helps keep our skin in good condition and makes it better. However, cosmetic products such as face wash, face masks, and serums are not as important as the food we eat and the beverages we drink to maintain the health of our skin from within.

1. Beetroot and carrot juice- Both beetroot and carrots are vegetables that are packed with nutritious goodness. Beetroot and carrot juice is not just a fulfilling drink that gives our body a bolt of energy but it also has several benefits for our skin and overall well-being.

Carrot and beetroot juice improves the digestive process, boosts immunity, increases our stamina, improves the flow of blood, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The vitamin C present in carrots and beetroot improves the collagen production in our skin which strengthens the skin from within and improves elasticity. It even protects our skin from sun damage, removes toxins from the blood, and keeps the skin hydrated and nourished.

2. Honey and lemon water- One teaspoon of honey and the juice of one whole lemon mixed in warm water, when consumed in the morning can benefit us in more than one way. This drink helps remove toxins from our body, provides us with instant energy, improves digestion, alleviates constipation, cleanses the colon, improves our immunity, and promotes healthy skin. The concoction exhibits antibacterial properties which cleanse the skin from within by purifying the blood. It boosts collagen production and makes our skin radiant and supple in appearance.

3. Green apple and pomegranate juice- Both green apple and pomegranate juices on their own are great for the health of our skin and our well-being. However, this combination of fruits provides our body with more nutrients and antioxidants, which have great effects on our skin. The antioxidants present in pomegranate and green apples help reduce oxidative stress in our bodies by removing free radicals.

The calcium present in green apples helps strengthen our bones. And the vitamin A, C, E, and K present in both apple and pomegranate juice protects our skin cells from sun damage, moisturizes our skin, improves its overall texture and appearance, and even reverses the signs of ageing.

4. Water- You don’t need to put a lot of effort into making juices and smoothies for good skin. You can achieve good, soft, and glowing skin by drinking the recommended amount of water daily. Our body requires water to remove harmful toxins from our body. It also acts as a natural moisturizer for the skin, boosts metabolism, and cleanses the body which ensures glowing and healthy skin.

5. Green tea- Green tea is full of antioxidants. It reduces the oxidative stress of our body and even delays skin ageing. It boosts the working of our metabolism which ensures the elimination of harmful toxins from our body. Drinking green tea once or twice a day can boost our skin health as it controls the production of oil and sweat and even treats acne.

6. Cucumber and spinach juice- Blend an entire cucumber and spinach in a blender. Add water, honey, and salt to adjust its taste. This concoction is a great source of water, vitamins, minerals, and fibre. This drink helps to flush out toxins, hydrate and moisturize the skin from within, and improve the water retention of our skin.
