Today we will talk about one such herbal tea, which is highly recommended by health experts as it helps in boosting your immunity during the monsoon season. The ginger – tulsi herbal tea is made with the ingredients that are easily available in our kitchen.

The decoction is made with the water as its base and it is not too heavy with presence of milk. The natural sweeteners can be added additionally to herbal tea to make it a slightly sweeter, although it is completely optional.

Coming to the health benefits of herbal tea, ginger & tulsi are both known for the nutritional properties, which help in making our immunity strong. In Ancient sciences and even our own grandmothers often recommended both of these ingredients for the healthy body.

Further addition of the spices such as saunf/fennel seeds, black peppercorns, cinnamon powder and jeera makes the drink a potent mix of so many nutrients. Ajwain & dry oregano further add to immunity boosting properties of this wonderful drink.

Ingredients Required:

  • 1 pinch of Ginger.

  • 3 Peppercorns.

  • 2-3 Tulsi leaves.

  • 1 tsp of dry Oregano.

  • 1/4 tsp of Fennel Seeds.

  • 1/4 tsp of Jeera.

  • 1/4 tsp of Cinnamon powder.

  • Pinch of Ajwain. 

Method:

  • Bring all ingredients together in a pan along with two cups of water.

  • Keep boiling the tea for 10 minutes & simmer.

  • Sip it warm!
