One-pot Meals for Winter: Wholesome on Taste Buds and Easy to Make

Winters are here and it has started getting chilly outside every day. All one wants in this situation is something hot, delicious, and filling. One-pot meals are hit everywhere because of their superb taste and the less time they consume in their preparation.

Winters are here and it has started getting chilly outside every day. All one wants in this situation is something hot, delicious, and filling. One-pot meals are hit everywhere because of their superb taste and the less time they consume in their preparation. 

Here are some piping hot options for you to make within 30 minutes:  

Tomato rice: Made from the basic ingredients of the Indian household like onions, tomatoes, green chilies, ginger, and garlic, this one-pot dinner tastes is very hearty and nutritious. To make this, add rice and water and cook this amazing rice dish in one pot. 

Chicken rice: Aiming for that chicken dinner every night, this is your stop. Sauté onions, capsicum, tomatoes, and chicken with the spices of your choice, then add rice and water and cook a wholesome meal in no time. 

Khichdi: The simplest one-pot meal with a royal history is everyone’s favorite. Pressure cook dal and rice together in equal quantities along with salt and other spices of your choice to get that amazing texture. Add water to get the consistency of your choice. A quick and fuss-free dinner that is light on tummy yet high on protein. 

Masala Macaroni: Indian-style macaroni with lots of spices and vegetables. Sauté the veggies of your choice in a pan and add water and macaroni into it. Let it cook along with the vegetables.  Garnish it with coriander leaves and it's ready to serve.  

Chakoli/ Tukde: This dish is for a dal-roti person. To make this you can use the leftover rotis from lunch. Cook dal with all the spices in it till it’s almost done. Then crumble those rotis and add to the pot and let it simmer till both are well combined. Relish on this simple combined Dal-roti meal you made in just one pot.
