Escorts Agri-Machinery Segment (EAM) has sold 7268 tractors, the highest ever in august 2020, and registered 80.1% growth against 4035 tractors sold in August 2019.
According to statement given by Escort, on a Month on Month basis (MoM), the volume was up by 36.6%. The market sentiment continues to be highly positive with good monsoons, better Kharif sowing, crop prices holding up well and good supply of retail finance.
Domestic and Export Sales
Domestic tractor sales in August 2020 were at 6750 tractors recording the growth of 79.4% on Year on Year basis (YoY) against 3,763 tractors in August 2019. And export tractor sales were 518 tractors in August 202 against 272 in August 2019, recording the growth of 90.4% on Year on Year basis (YoY).
Management remains optimistic for the coming festive months, and supply side situation improved significantly in compare to last months.

Company said, “We are currently operating close to peak capacity. In August 2020, we could build some inventory both at dealer and depots, which since last few months was at very low levels.”
