Mahindra, Sonalika, Eicher, Escorts and John Deere Tractor Sales in February 2021

Even though the sales of two and three-wheelers, as well as commercial vehicles, dropped in February, sales of passenger vehicles and tractors increased.  

2 wheeler sales dropped 16.08 percent, while 3 wheeler and CV sales fell 49.65 percent and 29.53 percent, respectively, according to FADA – Federation of Automobile Dealers Association reports. Tractor prices, on the other hand, rose by 18.89% in the previous month.  

The total number of units sold was 61,351, up from 51,602 in February. As can be seen from the attached bench, every tractor maker has redesigned their tractor. 

With the exception of Force Motors and Captain, every tractor maker registered positive sales, as seen in the attached table. In this year even CNG- Tractors have also been launched into the Indian market. 

Sonalika, Mahindra Farm Vehicles and Mahindra Swaraj

Mahindra tractor was No. 1 once again, with tractor sales of 13,492 units, up 8.19 percent from the previous year's 12,471 units sold in the same month. However, sales were down on a month-over-month basis in January, with 13,476 units sold.  

Mahindra Swaraj sales rose 11.18 percent year over year in February, with 10,191 units sold versus 9,166 in February 20. Sales, on the other hand, stayed stable on a month-over-month basis, with 10,211 units sold on January 21.  

The company expects to release a new line of tractors with higher and lower horsepower to aid small farmers with their puddling activities. Retail Tractor Sales in February 2021 – FADA is a non-profit organization that promotes Swaraj, has recently launched the Swaraj 742XT tractor, which was designed specifically for paddy mechanization and has proven to be high-performing and fuel-efficient when it comes to puddling operations.  

Sonalika Tractor sold 8,443 units in February, up 36.60 percent from the previous month's 6,181 units. However, sales declined by 2.36 percent on a month-over-month basis, with 8,647 units sold on January 21. Sonalika Group's Executive Director Raman Mittal also announced that the firm met its goals. 

Sonalika Group Executive Director Raman Mittal also announced that the company achieved its highest ever cumulative domestic revenue of 1,06,432 units in the March to February quarter, representing a 35.5 percent increase over the same period last year. According to him, this was the fastest 1 lakh domestic tractor sales by any tractor brand in the domestic market.  

Escorts, John Deere, TAFE

John Deere, TAFE, and Escorts Sales of Escorts Agri Machinery rose by 23.38 percent to 7,118 units in February 2021, compared to 5,769 units sold in February 20. Sales increased by 2.55 % year over year, to 6,941 units sold on January 21. Sales of Escorts Agri Machinery rose by 23.38 percent to 7,118 units in February 2021.

In February 21, 6,420 units were delivered, up 30.20 percent from the 4,31 units sold in February 20. For 6,230 units delivered in January 21, the year-over-year sales growth was 2.55 percent. On February 21, TAFE also launched a new tractor line.  

The Dynatrack tractor series is a high-tech line of agricultural, hauling, and construction tractors. 

The Dynatrack series is an advanced line of tractors with VersaTech technology that are used in livestock, haulage, and industrial applications. The wheelbase of the range can be extended, making it ideal for year-round use.  

In the last month, John Deere and Eicher also posted revenue growth of 22.50 percent and 15.93 percent, respectively, while Kubota, VST, and Indo Farms have reported growth. Force Motors and Captain tractor prices, on the other hand, dropped 25.06 percent and 27.81 percent, respectively.
