4th Fresh India Show 2022: Global Conference Concluded Successfully

The 4th Fresh India Show 2022 was held on 3 and 4 June at the Welcome Hotel by ITC Hotels from, Dwarka, New Delhi. The event was being organized by the Media Today Group. Fresh India Show 2022 included the Fresh India Conference, Exhibition, Networking Meet, and Awards. The event mainly focused on strengthening the F&B industry in India while also connecting firms from across the globe. 

On day 2 of Fresh India Show 2022’s Global Conference, Bharat Bhojane, VP Asia Pecific Region, Ekland Mktg Co. of California, gave an opening presentation. He addressed the subject of future prospects of the soft fruits berry industry in India. In his session, he discussed the various challenges faced by the soft berry industry.

He also discussed the factors influencing the soft fruit berry industry that are as follows:

  • Non-availability of Improved varieties

  • Import Procedure of Plant is long

  • Non-Availability of knowledge and skilled manpower

  • Climate change

  • Branding

  • Innovation in Packaging and Marketing

He concluded the session by sharing his company’s main objective, which is to maximize returns to plant breeders, growers and fruit marketers, and retailers around the world through the introduction of innovative varieties and technologies.

The next session at the 4th Fresh India Show was conducted by Chintu Jose, Director of Operations- Fruits farmers producers Co. Ltd. He spoke on the subject of the Global scenario and India as an emerging market of Mangosteen, Rambutan, and Avocado. Thailand is the major producer of Rambutan and Mangosteen whereas Avocado is majorly produced by Mexico. 

The fruits valley company is working to provide prompt services to the stakeholders and beneficiaries and to create a convivial ambiance and atmosphere for the farmers. 

It aims to be the providers and facilitators of opportunities and facilities in the agriculture sector for a comprehensive experience of fruit production, farm tourism, and leisure. 

The Keep it fresh’s Co-founder, Mukul Sareen also addressed the gathering. Keep-it-fresh is a leading manufacturer of a variety of shelf-life extension technologies, with a long history of use in the commercial fruit and vegetable business. Serving a global network of Partners Distributors in various areas, as well as global leaders in the Ethylene absorption sector.

Mukul Sareen discussed the issues that ethylene raises in fruits and vegetables. Ethylene is a gas that is naturally produced by fruit as it ripens. Ethylene is the accelerator of the ripening process. 

They seek to provide novel ethylene absorption solutions by continually investing in new technologies and conducting research and development initiatives to increase performance.

At the last session Dr. Shubhi Mishram, Advisor, Founder, and Director of F.A.C.T.-s moderated the panel discussion. The other members of the panel discussion included Komal Jain, Sowfresh India LLP, and P Manish Reddy, Manager of Operation- Srinu Agro Tech Private Limited.

The subject for the panel discussion was “Women in Fresh Product Trade.” The panel discussed the need for the empowerment of women in the field of agriculture. They also shared how they ended up making a career in the agriculture sector. 

Komal Jain, Sowfresh India LLP, shared her inspiring story of how she started her organic farm from scratch. Her organic farm now provides employment to 38 women.
