The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has clarified that it will not release class 12 results in the month of April. Right on heels of the prank about the board re-conducting exams for Economics and Physics paper, the reports of class 12 board results has gone viral. A notification is doing rounds on the social media, which can easily misrepresent as an official notice and it says that CBSE class 12 board results will be released on 10th April.

The notification, as has been confirmed by the CBSE, is ‘fake’. The board is yet to set and announce the result date for class 12. No doubt, this year the result is expected to be released in advance to make easy UG admissions. Parents and students must note that any notice about the announcement of result date will be published only on the official website of CBSE.

This year Central Board of Secondary Education has faced many false news circulations. It began with the news of paper leak, followed by the reports that CBSE will re-conduct exam for few subjects and now about the result declaration date.

The CBSE, at the beginning of the board examinations 2019, had released a notice warning wrongdoers that the board will take necessary actions against those spreading wrong information.

The board on April 2, 2019 had also released a notice in response to the false notice which claimed that board will re-conduct exam for Economics and Physics clarifying that it has released no such notice.

It must be noted that the CBSE board result for class 12 and class 10 will be released on the result website of the board - cbseresults.nic.in. The board will also inform students about the result date on this same portal prior to declaration of result.
