The procurement of Kharif crops is to begin in Haryana from September 25. The first procurement would be of paddy crops on the minimum support price (MSP). The Haryana government has laid strict guidelines for the officers involved with the procurement process in order to ensure that farmers do not face any problem in the marketplace. 

It has been instructed that shades, roads, packaging bags etcetera in the marketplace be ready for the procurement season.

The Procurement of these Crops to Begin Soon 

The procurement of paddy is to begin from September 25. This would go on till 15 November. On the other hand, the procurement of crops like Bajra, Maize, and Moong would begin from October 1 and go on till November 15. 

200 Centres for Procurement of Crops 

There are around 200 centers established for the procurement of paddy this year in Haryana. Here are the number of centers allotted to each type of crop: 

  • Bajra: 86

  • Maize: 19

  • Moong: 38

The Minimum Support Price (MSP) fixed for these crops are as follows: 

  • Paddy: 1940 rupees per quintal

  • Bajra: 2250 rupees per quintal

  • Maize: 1870 rupees per quintal

  • Moong: 7275 rupees per quintal

  • Groundnut: 5550 rupees per quintal 

Register to Sell Your Crops at MSP 

In order to sell your crops at MSP, you must register at Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. The registration is compulsory and a lot of farmers have already started doing the same. Till now 2 lakh and 90 thousand farmers have registered to sell paddy, 2 lakh 45 thousand farmers have registered to sell Bajra, and more than 66 thousand farmers have registered to sell Moong.
