Chakradhar Tripathi, vice-chancellor of the central university, also stated about the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG-2023) during a press conference on Wednesday (April 12) .
The CUET (PG) would give students seeking admission to any of India's Central Universities (CUs) or other participating organisations (including state universities, deemed institutions, and private universities), including the CUO, Koraput.
He stated that CUO will be accepting applications for 14 postgraduate studies this year. Two-year postgraduate programmes in Odia, English, Hindi, and Sanskrit, sociology, economics, journalism and mass communication, anthropology, biodiversity and natural resource conservation, statistics, computer science, MBA and executive MBA, two-year undergraduate programme-Bachelor of Education (BEd), and five-year integrated MSc in mathematics are available.
Details on eligibility criteria and programme-specific intake capacity can be found on the CUO and CUET websites.
Candidates must apply online for the two-hour-long CUET (PG)-2023 examination by April 19 (5 p.m.). They can make changes to the application form details on the website between April 20 and April 23. Odisha's Koraput District is part of the KBK area (Koraput, Bolangir, and Kalahandi), which is still regarded a severely underdeveloped region of the state.
Because the bulk of the inhabitants in these three districts are ST or SC, they are known for tribal culture. The role of the CUO is vital in expanding access to quality higher education in the country.
