Delhi's Weather Forecast: Clear Skies with Mild Temperatures

Delhiites can expect a relatively comfortable day ahead as the temperature is predicted to range between a high of 32°C and a low of 19°C. The skies are anticipated to remain clear throughout the day, offering respite from the recent bouts of inclement weather.

IMD's Regional Weather Outlook: Varied Patterns Across India

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts varied weather patterns across the eastern regions. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are likely to experience isolated to scattered rainfall, with thunderstorms and lightning expected from March 27 to 29. As the days progress, this precipitation is expected to increase, becoming fairly widespread to widespread in these areas from March 30 to April 2, 2024.

In the western regions, including Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh, the IMD predicts fairly widespread to widespread light rainfall and snowfall, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning from the 27 to the 31 of March. Additionally, hailstorms are likely over Himachal Pradesh from the 28 to 30 and over Uttarakhand on the 29 and 30 of March.

Maximum temperatures exceeding the 95th percentile of the climatological value are anticipated in Marathwada adjoining Vidarbha, isolated pockets over Madhya Maharashtra, south interior Karnataka adjoining north Kerala, Gujarat state, West Rajasthan, south coastal Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh. Heatwave conditions are expected in isolated pockets over North Interior Karnataka, Saurashtra and Kutch, and southwest Rajasthan. Warm nights are predicted in isolated pockets over the Gujarat Region, Marathwada, and Madhya Maharashtra.

IMD's Maximum Temperature Forecast for the Next 5 Days

The IMD's maximum temperature observations and forecasts for the next five days indicate a diverse climate outlook across different regions. While no significant change is expected in maximum temperatures over Northwest India, a rise by 2-3°C is predicted over Central and East India during the next three days. The rest of the country is expected to experience relatively stable temperatures.
