Farmers Protest Today Live Updates: Farmers come out to street against the controversial new farm legislation adopted by the center and the situation is going out of hand in the capital and Haryana border. The call for the Delhi Chalo march given by the AIKSCC, Rashtriya Kisan Mahasangh and factions of the Bharati Kisan Union has gathered thousands of farmers and invited clashes between farmers and police force.

Moreover, thousands of farmers entered Delhi on Friday after clashes with the police at the Haryana border who used tear gas, water cannons and lathis to block their march.

According to recent reports, the farmers who are protesting against the three central farm laws  have granted permission to hold ‘peaceful protests’ at Nirankari Ground in North-West Delhi.

However, security has been heightened at the Delhi-Haryana border at Tikri as thousands farmers gathered there despite being given permission to hold “peaceful protests” at the Nirankari Samagam Ground in Delhi’s Burari.

On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh slammed the ML Khattar government in Haryana for its continued use of brute force to stop farmers even after the Union Government’s conciliatory move.

As per sources, multi-layer police barricades, sand-laden trucks, sandbag walls, barbed wire fences, boulders, trenches in the middle of the road, water cannons, and tear gas shells were some of the obstacles that farmers marching from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh had to face on their way to the national capital.

Moreover, All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC), a grouping of 500 farm unions has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday over angry obstacles placed in the way of farmers by the police force marching to Delhi. Moreover, they urged him to provide them safe passage to Ram Leela Ground in Delhi.
