Amid this festive season, there's a good news for LPG customers and you need to pay attention on this. Oil Companies change their policy time to time keeping in mind the current scenario.

When domestic LPG consumers book a cylinder and a few days after its delivery, the subsidy money that comes to their account is considered final. In such a situation, those consumers who have non-subsidized cylinders are also deprived of subsidy.

But many people still do not know that with the delivery of gas cylinders, discount is also given. Apart from discount subsidy, it is also available on non-subsidized cylinders. You need to know the conditions how you get benefits. Actually oil companies also give discount offer on their behalf by making online payment of gas cylinder.

The agencies offer these to promote the Central Government's digital payment campaign. Cashback, instant discount, coupons, redeem coupons etc. are provided to the customers in this order. It is usually the case that people book cylinders online but they pay to the hawkers who deliver in cash. In such a situation they are deprived of this offer.

Therefore, the discount which they could get from online payment is not available. It is worth noting here that it is available on both online discount subsidy and non-subsidized cylinders. The companies that offer these include Hindustan Petroleum, Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum.

How to Pay Online?

After getting the gas cylinder, you can pay through the popular digital payment platforms such as mobile app, Paytm, Phone Pay, UPI, Bhima App, Google Pay, Mobikwik, free-charge etc. This will give you the benefit of discount. Through these platforms, when you make a cylinder booking and payment for the first time, you can also get a very good cashback for the first time. Paytm has also given cashback of up to Rs 500 to its customers.

Customers can also avail this discount through online debit card, credit card, Internet banking, mobile banking application and electronics wallet, if they want. An advantage of online gas booking is that you can pay from any place. So you can get rid of the hassle of having cash at the time of cylinder delivery.

Cylinder was Rs 731 in April, now it is Rs 620

In April, the domestic cylinder was worth Rs 731. This cylinder of 14.2 kg continued to be available without subsidy. On this, subsidy of Rs 147.67 kept coming in the account of consumers. This amount was deposited directly into the account. If the subsidy was reduced, the actual price of the cylinder was Rs 583.33.
