Good News for PM Kisan Beneficiaries: 12 lakh Farmers will get Kisan Credit Card; Know How to Apply

If you are also a beneficiary of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and want to get Kisan Credit Card (KCC), then here is the good news for you. 

Yogi Government is going to issue the KCC to PM Kisan beneficiaries of the state. You can apply for the KCC as per the steps given below. The Yogi government is going to issue the Kisan Credit Card to 12 lakh farmers of the state. Talks have also been held between the Uttar Pradesh government and the Central government regarding this. Central government will issue the instructions soon.  

Currently, there are 2,43,00,000 beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi in Uttar Pradesh. Out of these, only 1,53,00,000 have got the KCC. So far, KCC of 90 lakh farmers have not been made.  

What is Kisan Credit Card? 

Through Kisan Credit Card, farmers can get loans for work related to farming, including agricultural-related things such as manure, seeds, pesticides etc. And taking loan through this card is cheaper by 2-4%, the only condition is that the loan must be repaid on time. The Kisan Credit Card has been linked with the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme.  

Process to Apply for Kisan Credit Card 

  • Visit the official website https://pmkisan.gov.in/ 

  • Download the Kisan Credit Card form https://pmkisan.gov.in/Documents/Kcc.pdf 

  • Fill the form along with the documents of land and details of your crop.

  • Fill and submit the application. After this, you will get the Kisan Credit Card from the concerned bank.

Documents Required to Make the Card 

  • Aadhar Card

  • PAN Card

  • Photograph

The farmer who wants to get a KCC need to submit an affidavit stating that you have not taken loan from any other bank, along with above mentioned documents in the bank. 

Who are Eligible? 

Any person connected with farming, fishery, and animal husbandry are eligible to get Kisan Credit Card. The age of the beneficiary must be between 18 to 75 years. If the age of farmer is more than 60 years, then a co-applicant will also be employed, whose age is below 60 years.
