The NTA has decided to cancel the PM YASASVI Entrance Test 2023 due to concerns about the additional burden it would place on applicants. Instead, the selection process for this year will rely on a merit list that takes into account the marks obtained in the 8th and 10th classes, in accordance with scheme guidelines. Student selection will be conducted through the NSP Portal, and those with scores of 60% or higher in either the 8th or 10th class are eligible to apply.

The National Testing Agency had originally scheduled the PM YASASVI entrance test for September 29, 2023, and admit cards were set to be released soon. This test was intended to identify scholarship recipients under the scheme. However, with the cancellation of the entrance test, candidates will now be chosen based on their performance in the 8th and 10th grades, with eligibility for application extended to those with scores of at least 60% or higher.
