The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will be organizing a Hackathon titled ‘Aadhaar Hackathon 2021’ targeting the young innovators at various Engineering institutes, who have a desire to step into the real world.
As per the circular issued by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, "The Hackathon will commence on October 28 at midnight and will continue till October 31”. The Aadhaar team is conducting such an event first time.
Theme: Aadhaar Hackathon 2021
Aadhaar Hackathon 2021 is mainly focused on two very important themes discussed below:
1. Enrolment & Update:
The first theme revolves around ‘Enrolment & Update’, which will mainly discuss some of the real-life challenges being experienced by the residents while updating their address and other basic details.
2. Identity & Authentication:
Hackathon’s second theme is around the ‘Identity and Authentication’ solution provided by UIDAI. Under this, UIDAI is providing innovative solutions to prove Identity without even sharing the Unique Aadhaar number or any demographic information.
Apart from this, it’s also looking for some effective innovative applications around face authentication API - the newly launched authentication modality of UIDAI. The purpose of this is to popularize some of the existing and new APIs to solve the needs of residents.
To resolve such issues through newer innovative technological solutions, UIDAI is reaching out to the younger minds of all the Engineering colleges. It would also be an innovative step in the skill- development of our youth.
Prize Money & Other Benefits:
The winners would be selected theme-wise and the winners of each theme would be honored and rewarded by the UIDAI team through good prize money and other lucrative benefits.
