Dhanuka Agritech & Sharda University launch Diploma in Plant Protection

India's leading agrochemical company, Dhanuka Agritech Limited and Sharda University located in Greater Noida have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 20th December, 2018 to start a one year Post Graduate Diploma in Plant Protection (PGDPP).

India's leading agrochemical company, Dhanuka Agritech Limited and Sharda University located in Greater Noida have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 20th December, 2018 to start a one year Post Graduate Diploma in Plant Protection (PGDPP).

Chairman of Dhanuka Agritech, Shri R.G. Aggrawal and Dean, School of Basic Science and Research, Professor Hari Shankar Gaur signed the MoU in the presence of Shri Kamal Kumar, Advisor at Dhanuka, Shri P.K. Gupta, Chancellor, Shri Y.K. Gupta, Pro-Chancellor, Shri Prashant Gupta, Executive Director, Professor G.R.C. Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Professor Surya Prakash Rao, Dean, Academics & Research, Shri D.L.N. Shastri, Director of Corporate Affairs & Strategy and other senior officials of Sharda University.

The students at Sharda University will be taught - theory, practical and business aspects of pests, diseases and weed problems of field and horticultural crops as well as their management. They will be given two months field training by Dhanuka Agritech Limited who will also pay a stipend and allowances to the students. 15 students, after completion of course and assessment process, will be placed on permanent roll of the firm as Front line staff in BD or sales department as per the band and compensation structure of Dhanuka Limited.

 It must be noted that the PGDPP is a unique collaborative course depicting an Institute-Industry interface directed towards the growth of the agribusiness sector and at the same time addressing the unemployment problem concerning the agricultural science graduates. This specially trained manpower will take the much needed best plant protection technology for the benefit of the farmers as well as the country.
