GADVASU Scientist Receives Prestigious Fellowship of National Academy of Veterinary Science

Director of Extension Education, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Dr. Harish Kumar Verma has been decorated with fellowship of National Academy of Veterinary Science (NAVS) at 17th Convocation of NAVS and Scientific Symposium on “Livestock sector towards - One health, Food security and Safety” held at Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology. Dr Verma also presented a lead paper on “Multi Tier Extension Approach of Gadvasu for Enhancing Farmers' Income” which was appreciated by the members of academy. He was honoured with the prestigious award due to his contributions made in the field for the benefit of farmers.

Dr Verma was instrumental in the starting ‘Information Centre’ in GADVASU with the aim of providing all the facilities under single roof. He has already fellowship of Indian Society for Study of Animal Reproduction and National Academy of Dairy Science (India).  He has been the leading force behind the strong vibrant and aggressive extension of the vet varsity.

Dr Verma also got ‘Best Director Award’ by Education Expo TV, Noida presented in 6th Faculty Branding Awards-18 ceremony on 22nd July, 2018 at Kolkata. He also got  Appreciation award by Society of Andrology: India for excellent work and valuable contribution in the field of Reproductive medicine, XXVI Annual Congress of Society of Andrology: India on 26th to 28th October, 2018, Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut.
