A woman from the Bhilwara District is making money from her farming despite the fact that water scarcity and irrigation problems have made farming in the modern day a difficult job due to the soaring costs of agricultural inputs.

Sheela Jat, a native of the village of Motipura, used to do traditional farming, which didn't yield much profit for her. She chose to grow mustard instead of wheat because of the region's escalating water shortage with the intention of growing more crops on fewer acres. Jat used innovative approaches and modified seeds, which were profitable and effective for her. Sheela made Rs 4 lakh from the mustard crop in 9 bighas last year. With 50 bighas, she planted a mustard crop in the hopes of making a good profit this year.

Sheela, a Panchayat Samiti member, learned from agricultural scientists the entire system of farming with less water, and this year she has set a goal of growing mustard in 50 bighas and making 25–30 lakhs from it.

To make their farming profitable, farmers need to use high-quality seeds and the latest technologies, according to Sheela Jat. Sheela Jat said advised that farmers must use good seeds and cutting-edge technology to be profitable.

Farmers, particularly women farmers in her region, look up to Sheela Jat as an inspiration.
