PM Modi Releases 13th Installment of PM Kisan Yojana to 8 crore Farmers; Check Payment Status Here
PM Kisan latest update: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the most-awaited 13th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi in Belagavi, Karnataka today (February 27). Rs 2000 each has been transferred into the bank accounts of 8 crore farmers under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. A total of more than Rs. 16,800 crores have been deposited directly in the accounts of more than 8 crore farmers under the Scheme.

OUAT Farmers' Fair 2023: Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology Signs MoU with Indian Council of Agricultural Research
Pravat Kumar Roul, vice-chancellor of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) felicitated the 'achiever farmers' for their significant contributions to the agriculture sector. Prof Roul honored the crop producers at the ongoing OUAT Farmers' Fair 2023 in Bhubaneshwar, being hosted by OUAT, India’s second oldest agricultural institute.

India’s Castor Production Up By15% to 19.46 lakh tonnes for 2022-23
Castor seed output in India is expected to increase 15% to 19.46 lakh tonnes in 2022-23. New crop has begun to arrive in the markets. Indian Agribusiness Systems, also known as Agriwatch, conducted two rounds of field crop surveys in the castor-growing states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.

Congress Adopts Resolution to Make MSP a Legally Enforceable Right of Farmers
Congress stated that no criminal proceedings will be initiated against farmers who are in debt, and that no land will be auctioned off to recover outstanding loans. The party also resolved to provide one-time immediate relief to farmers from indebtedness by bringing a debt waiver scheme to waive up to Rs 6 lakh per farmer in a resolution on farmers and agriculture adopted at its 85th plenary session.
