  • Cyclone Jawad: IMD issues Red, Orange & Yellow Alerts

    In the view of Cyclone Jawad, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert predicting gale along with the West Bengal coast for December 4, 2021. Meanwhile, Orange & Yellow alerts have been issued for some districts for 4th – 5th December forecasting heavy to extremely heavy rains. Tracking the movement of the cyclonic storms, the weather Department (IMD) said that it is likely to weaken into deep depressing before making landfall near Puri in Odisha on December 5, 2021.

  • Indian Railway Operates 1,586 Kisan Rail Services

    Since, first Kisan rail service launched in August 2020, Indian Railway has operated 1,586 Kisan Rail services, transporting approximately 5.2 lakh tonnes of perishables. These services have operated from states such as Assam, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Tripura & West Bengal.

  • MSP to Continue, Committee Formed to Make it More Effective & Transparent

    On 3rd December 2021, the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that a Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops would continue & Prime Minister Narendra Modi had set up a committee to make the mechanism more effective & transparent. Queried on shortage of fertilizers in the country, the minister said that the farmers were getting it in full quantity & would continue to do so.

  • Agritech firm AgNext Technologies to Partners with NAFED

    Agritech firm AgNext Technologies has partnered with NAFED to digitalize the quality assessment for Arunachal Pradesh’s organic kiwis. These organic kiwis were launched in the National Capital last week by Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board (APAMB) along with NAFED as the marketing partner, under the national “One District One Product” scheme.
