Association of Indian Organic Industry and PJTSAU sign MoU

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and the New Delhi-based Indian Organic Industry Association (AIOI) with the goal of establishing joint research in organic farming, learning and promotion of organic foods.

The partnership will also allow the university to deliver a degree course in skills growth and entrepreneurship in agricultural goods, as per university administrators. Furthermore, the synthesis of the two will help to increase the sustainability levels of organic crops, minimise post-harvest waste and increase storage technology.

Addressing the gathering, University Vice-Chancellor V. Praveen Rao said that in livestock, dairy, pig farm and other sectors, there is a need to adopt organic and sustainable practices. It was planned that a day-long program on organic farming strategies would soon take place, he added.

Along with University Registrar, S. Sudheer Kumar, the event also included CEO of AIOI P.V.S.M. Gouri, 24 Mantra CEO Rajasekhar and many others.
