In a ground breaking moment, CLAAS India, a 100% subsidiary of German agri-machinery conglomerate CLAAS KGaA, celebrated achievement of the milestone of 10,000 CROP TIGER combine harvesters built in India. To commemorate the landmark occasion, the limited edition of 10,000 CROP TIGER series was showcased on a virtual platform and also webcast live on Facebook and YouTube.

At the opening of the event, Mrs. Cathrina Claas-Muehlhaeuser, the chairwoman of CLAAS Shareholders Committee proudly shared that CROP TIGER has been one of the many success stories for CLAAS globally. She stated,” CLAAS is a family owned business. We treat our employees, suppliers, dealers, importers and customers as an integral part of the family. I would like to congratulate them for achieving this milestone and entrusting their faith in the CLAAS brand”.

With the pioneering launch of the CROP TIGER combine harvester in 1992, CLAAS successfully established itself as the leader in harvesting technology in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. The machine’s unique Tangential Axial Flow threshing mechanism delighted farmers with very clean grain output and low grain losses.

In the last 3 decades, the CROP TIGER has become a benchmark in terms of performance, reliability, and easy to operate. It is low maintenance and unmatchable after sales support system through a large network of dealers and importers in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

The continual product upgrades by investment in R&D and manufacturing technology have kept the CROP TIGER a favourite household name in Indian farming community.

During the exciting launch event, Mr. Mrityunjaya Singh, Managing Director, CLAAS Agricultural Machinery Pvt Ltd. stated, “CROP TIGER is not just a machine. It is a trustworthy partner for our customers, technicians and operators. It has enabled them to earn enough to lead a life with respect and dignity. We feel proud to have contributed in making lives better.”

Dr. Jens Oeding, Regional President Asia, CLAAS Group, also highlighted, “The unveiling of 10,000 CROP TIGER series is one of the proudest moments of our journey in India. This occasion not only celebrates the milestone itself but also the hard work put in by our farming community to secure the food value chain.”

Another key part of the event was the address by CLAAS India’s former President & Managing Director Mr. Pradeep Kumar Malik. He mentioned,” My tenure of over 16 years in CLAAS India has been the most challenging as well as the most exciting time of my professional life. I thank CLAAS India’s hard working employees, dealers, importers and customers for their priceless contribution in fashioning this success story.”
