Ban Imposed on Private Drones by Noida Police During World Dairy Summit Until September 15

The Noida police stated in a statement that it was necessary to prohibit the use of private drones due to security concerns. Between September 8 and September 15, nobody will fly a drone on their own or as an organization.

An order prohibiting the use of drones in Noida and Greater Noida by private individuals or organizations was issued by the police on Thursday in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The ban is in effect until September 15.

The ban has been implemented using the authority provided by CrPC section 144 and claiming security concerns in light of the World Dairy Summit-2022, which will get started in Greater Noida on September 12.

The order read, "It is necessary to prohibit private drone operation because the World Dairy Summit-2022 is proposed to be held from September 12 to 15 at India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, and the Prime Minister of India and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh are scheduled to participate in the program on September 12.

Between September 8 and September 15, nobody will fly a drone on their own or as an organization.

The summit, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will also have participation from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Noida police stated in a statement that it was necessary to prohibit the use of private drones due to security concerns. Therefore, the assistant deputy commissioner of police issued this order in accordance with Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure prohibiting the use of drones by individuals or organizations between September 8 and September 15. The Indian Penal Code's section 188 (disobedience to order duly proclaimed by public servant) would be applied to any violations of this order.

The Noida Police had previously ruled against the use of drones from August 26 through August 31, citing security concerns, prior to the takedown of Supertech's illegal towers.

Over 1,500 people from all over the world attend the World Dairy Summit, which is organized by the International Dairy Federation, each year.
