Chhattisgarh Govt.'s Flagship Scheme 'Godhan Nyay Yojana,' To Be Featured in State's Republic Day Tableau

High Level Expert Committee of the Union Defense Ministry has given its green signal to Chhattisgarh's Godhan Nyay Yojana for the Republic Day parade ceremony to be held at Rajpath.

The Union Defense Ministry's High Level Expert Committee has approved Chhattisgarh's Godhan Nyay Yojana for the Republic Day parade celebration to be performed at Rajpath. 

Key Points 

  • This committee included the country's top craftsmen, painters, photographers, musicians, vocalists and experts in other fields.

  • The Chhattisgarh tableau, based on the Godhan Nyay Yojana, would give alternatives for solutions to several global concerns at the same time by combining traditional knowledge and a scientific approach to the exploitation of rural resources.

  • Water management methods being created in the state, increased output, and a happy farmer will be shown in fresco style in the tableau. Women from self-help groups manufacturing dung products and vermi compost from cow dung will also be shown in the tableau in the same sequence. 

  • Rural women will be shown in the forefront of the tableau gathering cow dung and transporting it to Gauthan collection centers for sale.

  • These women will be dressed in traditional tribal costumes, wearing handmade clothes and ornaments.

  • A woman will be seen manufacturing products from cow dung and delivering them to the market for sale. Around the women, flower pots will be decorated to represent the cultivation of vegetables and flowers in the Gothans. At the bottom, cow dung diyas will be decorated. These diyas will show the self-reliance and self-confidence in the lives of rural women.

  • Gauthans will be depicted as Rural Industrial Parks in the back of the tableau. It will demonstrate how women are building their own business, running small industries in villages with the help of new technologies and machines.

  • The central part will show how the goals of environmental protection, organic farming, nutrition, employment and income enhancement are being achieved by keeping the cow at the center of the rural economy.

  • Finally, the rural woman painting will be displayed as a symbol of the development of Chhattisgarh's traditional crafts and arts.
