Constant Work Being Done for The Prosperity of Farmers: CM Baghel

CM Baghel performed Bhumi Pujan and inaugurated 19 works costing Rs 105 crore 71 thousand.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the gathering at the Kanwar Mahotsav and Kisan Mahasammelan organized in Chhuriya development block of Rajnandgaon district today said that the state government is continuously working to ensure that the farmers of the state remain prosperous and happy.

Money is reaching farmers, labourers, and cattle herders through the state government's Nyay schemes. He further said that the scope of rice procurement has been expanded from 15 quintals to 20 quintals per acre, due to which the farmers are very happy.

On this event, CM Baghel also performed Bhumi Pujan and inaugurated 19 works costing Rs 105 crores 71 thousand which the inauguration of 6 works costing Rs 8 crores 66 lakhs 39 thousand and Bhumi Pujan of 13 works costing Rs 96 crores 34 lakhs 32 thousand are included.

He distributed material worth Rs 2 crores 56 lakhs 40 thousand to 165 beneficiaries of various schemes in the programme. Forest rights lease, approval order, and citation for compound and social construction were also approved by the CM. The Chief Minister honoured the talented students of Kanwar Samaj in the programme.

Addressing the program, Baghel extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to everyone on the occasion of Navratri and Ramzan. Also, he said that the farmers across the state have celebrated the rise in rice purchase from 15 quintals to 20 quintals in the support price.

The farmer-friendly schemes of the government have expanded the number of farmers and regions under cultivation in the state. Earlier 55 lakhs metric tonnes of rice was procured, which has now doubled to 107 lakhs metric tonnes.

In Rajnandgaon district, Chhattisgarh there has been a two and a half times rise in the area under cultivation and the number of farmers. Also, the farmers are adopting scientific methods for cultivation. The amount of fourth installment has been given to the farmers under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.

From the administrative point of view, the CM also said that the development works have picked up pace after the formation of the new district. Keeping in view the demand of all during the budget session, the honorarium of Mitanin, Kotwar, Gram Patel, Anganwadi workers, and Anganwadi assistants has risen.

Under the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Krishi Bhoomihin Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, financial assistance is being given to landless agricultural labourers. The Rajiv Gandhi Bhumiheen krishi mazdoor Nyay Yojna has also been started in urban areas. He said that 278 Rural Industrial Parks have been started across the state. Due to this, employment opportunities will be available in rural areas. Electricity, water, road, shed, and other arrangements are being made in the RIPA centres in the village itself for the youth.

Baghel said that through C-Mart locally manufactured products are being sold.

A large number of people are also benefitted from schemes like Dhanwantri Medical Store by which people are getting medicines at affordable prices, the general public of rural areas are availing free treatment under Mukhyamantri Haat-Bazar Clinic Scheme, and a large number of people are benefitting from Mukhyamantri Vriksh Sampada Yojana and Yuva Mitan Club. He said that natural cow dung paint and vermicompost are being made under Godhan Nyay Yojana, and the amount under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah has been increased from Rs 25 thousand to Rs 50 thousand.

Chhanni Sahu, Khujji MLA said that the Chief Minister has given respect to the bread and turban of the farmers. The head of the state has waived off the loans of the 'Annadata' farmers.

The Chief Minister also announced the opening of District Central Cooperative Banks in Kallubanjari and Kumarda. He announced the opening of a rice purchase centre in Amgaon and the upgradation of Kumarda-Gandatola-Banjari road.

Moreover, he announced the construction of the Bortalav Community Health Centre and provided 50 lakh rupees for the construction of the building of Kanwar Samaj in Raipur.

Many public representatives were present on the occasion including the Chairman of Chhattisgarh Other Backward Classes Area Development Authority Daleshwar Sahu, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State antyavasayi Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation Dhanesh Patila, Chairman of Rajgami Estate Trust Vivek Wasnik, Mayor Hema Deshmukh, Member of Wildlife Board Sanjay Jain, Chairman of Child Rights Protection Commission Tejkunwar Netam, and more.
