Delhi Elections 2019- Date and Schedule

On March 10, the Election Commission of India declared dates and schedules of the 17th Lok Sabha Elections. The Delhi Lok Sabha election is scheduled to be held in a single-phase on May 12 for a total of seven seats. The main Political parties contesting the Delhi Lok Sabha polls are the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).  

On May 23, the counting of votes will be performed, following the declaration of election results 2019. In 2014 Delhi Lok Sabha Elections, BJP emerged victorious in all seven seats.  

Delhi Lok Sabha election will be conducted for the following seats this year - Chandni Chowk, East Delhi, New Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, South Delhi, and West Delhi. Delhi Lok Sabha Election Schedule 

On March 10, 2019, the Election Commission of India (EC), announced the upcoming Lok Sabha election dates. As per the announcement, the General elections in Delhi will be held in a single phase on May 12, 2019. Voting in Delhi will be held for 7 Lok Sabha seats. The model code of conduct has come into force starting the evening of March 10 and will remain in force even after the polling on April 11 till the entire process of counting is completed on May 23. 

The counting of the votes will be done collectively across the nation on May 23, 2019.
