In a visit to the ICAR-NDRI, Dr. Himanshu Pathak, recently appointed Director General of the ICAR in New Delhi and Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, announced that all ICAR institutes will begin operating five days a week as of October 1.

Himanshu Pathak was grateful for the years of effort put out by NDRI. Additionally, he praised NDRI for being the best university in the previous five years.

"NDRI is proud of the job it has done and its achievements," he stated. The health of our animals should be improved, and we should work hard to transform the NDRI into a global animal university.

He also stated that, in accordance with the revised admissions policies, a minimum of 3000 students should be admitted to each of the deemed universities.

According to him, the current Institutes will continue to receive 70% of the funds generated by the Institutes.

On this occasion, Dr. BN Tripathi, the deputy director general for animal science, congratulated NDRI on its 100th anniversary of establishment.

He continued by saying that our nation has accomplished much due to its 210 million tonnes of milk production. He emphasized the cloning studies being carried out at the Institute.

All of the dignitaries were greeted by the Director of NDRI Dheer Singh. Additionally present were the directors of Karnal's sister ICAR institutes.
