EPFO: Apply to Get Various Benefits for Your Family Member! File EPF/EPS Nomination Online Now

Owners of EPFO accounts are allowed to online submit their EPS and EPF nominations instead of physically doing so. Here's a step to step guide to file your nomination online.

For members of the Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS) and Employees' Provident Fund (EPF), submitting an online nomination is a requirement in order to be eligible for welfare benefits. If an EPF member files an e-nomination, their family may be eligible for a variety of benefits.

These benefits range from completing online claim settlements upon a member's death, eligible nominees, and many more benefits, in addition to provident fund (PF), pension (EPS), and insurance (EDLI) benefits. Owners of EPFO accounts are allowed to online submit their EPS and EPF nominations instead of physically doing so.

How to File for EPF Nomination Online:

  • Visit the 'Services' section of the EPFO website.

  • Click "Member UAN/Online Service" under the "For Employees" section.

  • Login now using your UAN and password.

  • Go to the "Manage" page and choose "e-Nomination."

  • Click "Save" when the "Provide Details" tab appears.

  • To update your family declaration, choose "Yes" and fill out the necessary fields for each member of your family, including Aadhaar, Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Relation, Address, Bank account information (optional), Guardian, and passport size photo.

  • To add one or more family members, click on "Add Family Details" now.

  • Declare the entire number of shares by clicking on "Nomination Details," and then click "Save EPF Nomination."

  • To generate an OTP and submit it, click "e-Sign" after it appears on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

  • After the EPF nominee declaration, no physical documents are required to submit by the members.

A member must first activate his UAN account on the UAN member portal and make sure that all of his or her UAN, Member ID, Establishment ID, Name, Date of Birth, Father's/Name, Spouse's Relationship, Date of Joining, Gender, and Marital Status are accurate before submitting an e-nomination.

To access nomination details online, the member must additionally provide one KYC detail for each nominee, and the combined share of all PF/EDLI Nominees must equal 100%.
