The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), a coalition of protesting farmer unions, has urged people to make the Bharat Bandh on March 26 a complete success. For nearly four months, farmers have been demonstrating at Delhi's borders against the Centre's three new agriculture laws.

The SKM has called for a Bharat Bandh on March 26 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to news agency PTI. Throughout the world, all road and rail transportation, markets, and other public locations will be closed during this period.

Darshan Pal, a farmer leader, said, "We appeal to the people of the country to make this Bharat Bandh a success and honor their 'Annadata."

For over 4 months, thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh have camped at the Delhi border points of SinghuTikri, and Ghazipur, seeking the repeal of farm laws and a legal assurance on the minimum support price (MSP) for their crops.

Buta Singh Burjgill, a farmer leader, had previously stated: "On March 26, when our four-month-long protest against the three farm laws comes to an end, we will observe a full Bharat bandh. From morning to evening, the tranquil bandh will be in effect."

Farmers' leaders have also stated that copies of the new farm laws will be burned on March 28 during the ‘Holika Dahan.'
