UGC Scholarships 2022: Applications Invited For 4 Scholarship Programs, Direct Link to Apply Inside

Students can submit their applications for these UGC Scholarships on the official website by October 31, 2022. The scholarships' basic objective and eligibility requirements are listed in this article.

The University Grants Commission, or UGC, has issued a notification inviting students for four different scholarship programs. Through the Government of India's National Scholarship Portal, scholarships.gov.in, students can apply for these scholarships.

The following scholarships are open to students until October 31, 2022. These scholarships include the PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child, the Ishan Uday Special Scholarship for the North Eastern Region, the PG Scholarship for University Rank Holders, and the PG Scholarship for SC and ST Students Pursuing Professional Courses.

Students can submit their applications for these UGC Scholarships on the official website, scholarship.gov.in, by October 31, 2022. The scholarships' basic objective and eligibility requirements are listed below.

PG Scholarship for SC, ST Students

This scholarship is open to students from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe groups who are enrolled in professional programs at institutions recognized by the UGC.

Students enrolling in M.E. and M.Tech programs will get Rs. 7,800 per month under this scholarship, while students enrolled in other courses will receive Rs. 4,500 per month.

PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child

The scholarship is open to female candidates who have applied for a postgraduate degree at a UGC-recognized institution and are currently enrolled in their first year. In accordance with this, students would receive Rs. 36,200 annually, and 3000 new scholarships would be given out each year.

Ishan Uday Special Scholarship for North Eastern Region

The North East states' students are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Candidates may apply as long as their family's combined annual income does not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh. Under this, a total of 10,000 scholarships will be given out each year.

The distribution of slots among the North Eastern states will be carried out following the published rules based on the population census. For ordinary degree courses, students will receive a total of Rs 5,400 per month, and for technical, medical, professional, and paramedical courses, they would receive a total of Rs 7,800 per month.

PG Scholarship for University Rank Holders

Students who received the first and second ranks in their undergraduate degrees and those who have been accepted into graduate courses are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Students would receive a total of Rs 3,100 per month under this plan.
