IMD: Heavy Rainfall in Coastal Tamil Nadu
Isolated pockets of heavy to very heavy rainfall are expected to continue in parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal over the next two days, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). In the lowest altitudes, strong northeasterly winds are blowing off the coast of Tamil Nadu. At the middle tropospheric level, a cyclonic circulation can be found over the southwest Bay of Bengal, off the coast of Sri Lanka. "Rainfall will be heavy to very heavy in some areas, including Chennai." For the next two days, we've issued a red alert for Nagapattinam, and the rest of the coastal districts, including Thiruvalluvar, are in the orange category," said Puviarasan, Director, MET Department, Chennai. Following that, the area would have a dry spell.

Companies of Edible Oil Slashed Its Prices by Rs 30-40
