  • IMD Forecasts Snowfall & Rainfall In These States For The Next 2 Days

    From Tuesday night to Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall and snowfall with thunderstorms and lightning over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. "A western disturbance in the form of cyclonic circulation has formed over north Pakistan and the surrounding area, with its axis at 3.1 km above mean sea level. "The induced cyclonic circulation is located in lower tropospheric levels over northeast Rajasthan and the surrounding area," according to the IMD.

  • EPFO Meet In First Week of March To Finalize Interest Rate

    The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO central)'s board of trustees (CBT) will meet in Guwahati in the first week of March to finalize the interest rate on provident fund deposits for 2021-22. The retirement fund board had set an interest rate of 8.5 percent for 2020-21, the same as the previous year. The EPFO's Finance, Investment, and Audit Committee will meet on Wednesday to evaluate the EPFO's earnings to date, based on which it will recommend an interest rate to the CBT.
