How to make gingerbread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup molasses

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, butter, molasses, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Mix until the dough forms a ball.

2. Divide the dough in half and roll each half out onto a sheet of parchment paper. Use a gingerbread man cookie cutter to cut out shapes.

3. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes.

4. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl at 30-second intervals, stirring in between each interval, until smooth.

5. Dip the cooled gingerbread men in the melted white chocolate and place them on a sheet of parchment paper to set.
