The government of Uttar Pradesh will soon issue the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to nearly 12 lakh farmers of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) system. The states have 2,43,00,000 recipients of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, according to estimates, and out of them, only 1,53,00,000 have got the KCC and 90 lakh farmers are yet to get their KCC produced.

A credit card that the government issues to farmers is the Kisan Credit Card. Via this, farmers are granted loans for agricultural work at very low rates. And getting loans from this card is 2-4 percent cheaper, and the only condition is that the loan has to be repaid on time. There was a connection between the Kisan Credit Card and the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme.

In order to ensure that the credit conditions for farmers in the farming, fishery and animal husbandry sectors were fulfilled, the KCC was implemented. This was achieved by helping them take advantage of short-term loans and by supplying them with a credit cap for purchasing machinery and even for their other expenses.

This card is currently useful in several ways for farmers and the process of applying for it is also simple. So, if you're a PM Kisan Samman Nidhi recipient, too, and you want to apply for KCC, then you just need to have those documents ready and apply for them.

Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana provides farmers with Rs 6,000 in financial assistance in a single financial year. The balance is disbursed in three instalments of Rs 2,000 as per this plan. Farmers are eligible for the program from both rural and urban areas. A pension facility is provided with an income generating program when the members hit 60 years of age.

Here's how you should register for a Kisan (KCC) Credit Card:

Important documentation required for KCC to apply: Card Aadhar, PAN Card, and Photograph.

Farmers wishing to acquire a KCC must also provide an affidavit claiming that, along with the above-mentioned bank papers, they have not lent from any other bank.

Eligibility to apply for a KCC: Any person associated with agriculture, fisheries and animal husbandry is eligible to obtain a Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and must be between 18 and 75 years of age. If the farmer is above 60 years of age, then a co-applicant whose age is below 60 years of age will also be hired.

Where does one get a KCC: From any Co-operative Bank, Regional Rural Bank, the KCC can be obtained. SBI, BOI, IDBI Bank and even the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), which issues RuPay KCC, can also receive this passport.

KCC Validity: 5 years of Kisan Credit Card validity. Loans up to Rs 1.6 lakh without guarantee are now assured. This limit had previously been 1 lakh rupees. Both notified crops / notified areas are covered under crop insurance on KCC loans.
